Hospital Capacity Management Leadership Forum 2027 Call for Speakers

Speaker Expectations & Submission Information

Thank you for your interest in presenting with HCMC for the 2027 Hospital Capacity Management Leadership Forum. HCMC speakers are recognized leaders and innovators who bring valuable insights, practical strategies, and real-world experiences to the healthcare capacity management community.

Selected speakers will be expected to:

- Sign and adhere to the HCMC Speaker Agreement.
- Respond promptly to communications from HCMC staff regarding scheduling, presentation preparation, and event logistics.
- Follow all American Hospital Association (AHA) and HCMC presentation guidelines.
- Actively support promotion of their session through professional networks and social media.
- Provide a professional headshot, biography, and other requested speaker materials by established deadlines.
- To support a successful presentation experience, HCMC will host speaker preparation sessions and a dry run prior to the
conference. These sessions are designed to review logistics, presentation expectations, technology requirements, and ensure speakers are fully prepared for their session, whether presented in person or virtually.

Please note that all presentation content must be original and speaker-developed. In accordance with AHA guidelines, presentations may not be AI-generated. Speakers are responsible for ensuring that all images, graphics, data, and other third-party content are appropriately sourced and credited. Presentations should be educational, non-commercial, and focused on sharing practical knowledge, lessons learned, and actionable takeaways for attendees.

We look forward to reviewing your submission and potentially partnering with you to elevate innovative ideas and leading practices across the healthcare capacity management field.
Selection Process

The Hospital Capacity Management Consortium (HCMC) is committed to delivering a high-quality educational experience that reflects the needs and interests of healthcare capacity management professionals.

All submissions will be reviewed by the HCMC Professional Development Committee using a standardized evaluation rubric. Proposals will be assessed based on criteria such as relevance to the HCMC audience, innovation, practical application, measurable outcomes, speaker expertise, and overall educational value.

The review process is competitive, and submission of a proposal does not guarantee selection. HCMC strives to assemble a balanced program that represents diverse perspectives, organizations, and topics across the continuum of care.

Applicants will be notified of the committee's decision no later than December 11, 2026. Selected speakers will receive additional information regarding presentation requirements, deadlines, speaker resources, and conference logistics following notification.

We appreciate the time and effort invested in each submission and look forward to reviewing your proposal.
Application Deadline: Monday, November 30
