Power Sector Net-Zero Standard Second Public Consultation Survey

Introduction

Welcome to the SBTi’s second public consultation survey. We are seeking feedback on the proposed draft of the SBTi Power Sector Net-Zero Standard. The goal of this second consultation is to ensure the draft is clear, practical, and aligned with stakeholder needs.

Your input will help shape the final draft of the SBTi Power Sector Net-Zero Standard v1.0. This survey should take approximately 30 minutes to complete and will remain open until 11:59 PM PT on 31 August, 2026. Your progress will be saved automatically as you complete the survey. You can download a PDF version of the survey here to review before responding.

You’ll receive a confirmation as soon as your submission is received. We will analyze and consider all feedback submitted. The results of the Power Sector Net-Zero Standard Second Public Consultation will be published in an anonymized format. All personal and identifying information will be removed, and responses will be categorized by stakeholder type.

Survey Structure

The survey is structured in the following sections:

  • Opening questions: the first section collects background information on respondents. Responding to these questions is mandatory as it allows SBTi to assess consultation participation and feedback by stakeholder groups.
  • Standard introduction, scope and applicability: this section aims to determine completeness and clarity of scope and applicability, overall structure of the standard and rules on interoperability with SBTi Corporate Net-Zero Standard V2.0, that are described in Chapter 1 of the draft standard.
  • Target base year assessment: questions on the disclosure requirements and the associated sector specific metrics proposed in Table B.1.1. of the draft Standard.
  • Target-setting criteria: this section includes questions on the sector specific criteria for target setting described in Chapter 2 of the draft standard.
  • Target-setting methods and pathways: this section aims to collect feedback on the target setting methods and associated pathways and how they are applied in combination across different activities and target types in scope of the power standard (see Annex B).
  • Closing section: to assess the respondent’s experience completing the survey, understand outreach effectiveness, and identify future engagement opportunities.
