Woodlands County Council is seeking input from Woodlands County residents to direct the Woodlands County RCMP detachments on their annual Community Priorities Plan (CPP). Explanation of Policing Priorities
Crime Reduction - Property Crime and Theft
Includes cyber security breaches, vehicle theft, theft from a vehicle, break and enter, vandalism, mischief, theft, possession of stolen property, and property damage.
Crime Reduction - Person's Crime
Includes assault, domestic violence, identity theft, uttering threats, robbery, homicide, fraud, human trafficking, kidnapping, firearms/weapons, etc.
Reduce Drug Offences
Includes possession of controlled substances, drug trafficking, production of drugs, and drug-impaired driving.
Traffic Safety
Includes impaired driving, speeding, and distracted driving.
Police Community Relations & Visibility
Includes positive police and community engagement and collaboration with community partners, and community patrols.
Crime Prevention
Includes public education, school presentations, and prevention programs such as AGENT, RISK, RAVE, and CPTED, as well as improving coordination between agencies, strengthening referral pathways to support services, and increasing awareness of available programs and community resources.
