Ontario Shores Recovery High School Youth Co-Production Registration

At Ontario Shores, we are creating a course for young people (aged 12-18) that struggle with mental health. This course will follow the Recovery College model of mental health support and will be led by a peer support specialist, someone who has lived experience with mental health challenges as a youth
(For more information regarding the Ontario Shores Recovery College for adults 18 and older: https://www.ontarioshores.ca/resources-support/ontario-shores-recovery-college).

This course will expand our Recovery College to reach adolescents and their families, and will be called “Recovery High School.” The process will use "co-production," which means including the voice of people who will use the course to help develop the course topics. You do not have to have a mental health diagnosis to participate, just experience as a young person with mental health.
Co-production will be done virtually (on Zoom) for 1.5 hours each week, for 2 weeks. This is a total of 3 hours that can be used towards volunteers hours!

The dates are:
Wednesday, January 28th from 5:00 - 6:30 pm
Wednesday, February 4th from 5:00-6:30 pm

If you would like to participate, please complete the following survey. It should take a few minutes to complete. Your responses will be collected by the Recovery High School Implementation Coordinator, Samiha Bari. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Samiha Bari at baris@ontarioshores.ca

Please note: If you are an Ontario Shores patient, participation in Recovery High School has no impact on your care at Ontario Shores. Recovery High School is a voluntary resource open to any youth.

Thank you!
1.Are you (or the person you are registering for) between the ages of 12 and 18?
2.Would you like to register to participate in co-production to help us create courses for youth, made by youth, about mental health? This is a one-and-a-half hour commitment, once a week for 2 weeks, and can count towards volunteer hours.
3.Can you attend both co-production sessions?
