NABITA Best Practice and Institutional Impact Award Application

The NABITA Best Practice and Institutional Impact Award recognizes a behavioral intervention, threat assessment, risk management, or case management practice, program, or initiative that demonstrates measurable and significant impact within the originating institution and can serve as a model for others.

Award Guidelines
Eligible initiatives may include those that strengthen the functioning of a Behavioral Intervention Teams (BIT), case management, provide education, deliver interventions, or reduce risk among identified populations. Programs may be self-nominated or nominated by others and must have been in place for at least six months prior to submission. Applicants will provide brief, thoughtful responses that describe the program’s development, impact, and replicability. Supporting materials are encouraged but not required.

The deadline to submit award nominations is August 14, 2026. Applicants will be notified by September 14, 2026, and have the option to accept the award at NABITA’s Annual Conference.
