Library Leadership Summit 2026 : 8 September 2026

The Summit seeks to:

  • Provide a dedicated forum for library executives to discuss emerging challenges and opportunities in library leadership and management.
  • Foster cross-institutional collaboration through shared resource platforms, inter-library loan schemes, and co-developed projects.
  • Examine transformative trends such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital transformation, data ethics, sustainability, and the evolving role of libraries in open science and open education.
    Strengthen leadership, governance, and management competencies, with pathways toward accredited leadership development.
  • Position libraries as strategic partners in national innovation systems, digital economies, and sustainable development agendas.

Summit registration fee covers:
  • In-person attendance: 1 day event (8.30hrs - 16.00hrs)

  • Accommodation is not included

Cancellation Policy:
If you register for the Library Leadership Summit 2026 but are unable to attend, you have three options for cancellation:

1) Refund: Refunds may be requested for conference registration before the 15th of August 2026. A $50 or R850 (for delegates from South Africa) processing fee applies for all registration refunds, NO REFUNDS AFTER 15 AUGUST. Exceptions will be considered on a case by case basis; please contact Ms. Amanda Makwangwaidze at amanda@itoca.org .

2) Transfer: You may transfer your registration to someone else at your institution/company anytime before the 15th of August. There is no fee to do so.
