Cochlear implants have changed rapidly since the American Board of Audiology began its Cochlear Implant Specialty Certification® (CISC) in 2005. Over time, the need and cost for updating the exam could not be balanced with the numbers of those seeking and maintaining the certification, so the exam was discontinued in 2018 so that ABA could evaluate other options. The ABA has developed this survey to identify educational needs and explore ways to serve audiologists working in this specialty area. The purpose of this survey is solely explorational and will be used for future planning. Additional surveys in other specialty areas may be circulated in the future. Thank you in advance for completing this brief survey and sharing the link with your colleagues specializing in cochlear implants.
