Heavens Valley Community Survey 2026

520%
The Heavens Valley (sometimes known as Thrupp Farm), has long been a cherished haven for individuals, families, and friends. It is an open space on the edge of Stroud, where everyone can enjoy it's streams, meadows and ancient woodlands.

The community purchase of 'The Heavens' was completed in November 2024, funded by donations and share sales (we now have just over 900 shareholders) and two generous loans from supporters.

Thanks to a major grant from The Summerfield Trust, those loans have now been repaid - and as of August 2025, all 102 acres of the Heavens are now owned by the community.

The Heavens Valley Community Benefit Society (HVCBS) has been set up, whose mission is to protect and enhance this important area for the benefit of nature and for the whole community. The first AGM was held in October 2025, and we have recently elected 12 volunteer Directors. You can find all of our information about this on the Heavens Valley CBS website (www.heavensvalley.org.uk)

This survey is part of an initial Listening Project, gathering the views and ideas and connections of local residents. This will feed into a longer term Community Consultation, helping to shape land management plans, and continuing to build a community around this unique place.

Thank you so much for your support in filling out this survey. If you would like to, you can complete it anonymously. All responses are kept securely and confidentially, in line with HVCBS Policies. It should take around 10 minutes to complete. Everyone who completes the survey *and provides an email address or phone number* is entered into a prize draw, with the chance of winning a £25 voucher for a supermarket or local food shop of their choice. Please ensure we have a way to contact you if you would like to be entered into the prize draw. All four voucher recipients will be randomly selected, and notified by 2nd March 2026). If you have any other questions or comments, you can contact emma@heavensvalley.org.uk or reach us on Facebook (@HeavensValleyActionGroup) and Instagram (@heavensvalleycbs)
