OHA is developing a new training for community helpers (in the past, we called these “gatekeepers”) that focuses on Substance Use Disorders and Suicide Prevention. Anyone (high school and older) will be able to take this training to boost their skills in helping their family and community members who experience substance use disorders and/or suicide risk.
Your expertise may come from a professional role in an organization, from providing direct services to people in recovery from substance use disorders, as a friend/family/community member of someone in recovery, and/or from your own personal lived experience with substance abuse and recovery. We are interested in your expertise from any of these perspectives that you have.
