Submit your Expression Of Interest [EoI] for a position on the Economic Development committee.

What the Committee does

The Committee focuses on practical delivery and oversight across three current Action Plan areas:

  • Promotion of Carterton
  • Town Centre / CBD Development
  • Waingawa Industrial Area

Committee members bring real-world experience, test assumptions, identify risks and opportunities, and help ensure economic initiatives are well-sequenced and deliver outcomes.


Who we’re looking for
We’re seeking people who can contribute constructively at a governance table. Relevant experience may include:

  • business and enterprise development
  • infrastructure or development
  • primary sector / food and fibre
  • workforce and skills
  • Māori economic development
  • innovation or knowledge-based sectors
  • finance or commercial governance

You do not need to represent a group or organisation. This is not a consultation forum.


What’s involved

  • Quarterly meetings, or as required.
  • Reading and preparation in advance
  • Contributing insight, judgement, and practical experience
