We are pleased that you are interested in participating in the EUROSPINE- Robotics and Navigation Travelling Fellowship 2026.

In collaboration with Globus, this EUROSPINE Fellowship supports the continued education and training of spine surgeons through a structured experience at premier EU spine centres with a specialisation in robotics and navigation. Application submission deadline is 1 June 2026.

The Fellowship will commence with attendance at the EUROSPINE Annual Meeting in Gothenburg, 7-9 October 2026. EUROSPINE is the leading European Congress for spine surgery and spinal care and brings together clear, well-structured education, case-based learning, and masterclasses with forward-looking sessions on AI, robotics, minimally invasive techniques and data-driven quality improvement. EUROSPINE delivers concise plenaries, interactive discussions designed to support everyday decision-making and long-term professional growth.

Following attendance at EUROSPINE including the Pre-Day Course on Tuesday 6 October, selected applicants will participate in a Globus driven Robotics skills lab in Amsterdam before travelling to three hospitals for an emersion in robotic and navigated spine surgery with renowned specialists.

The Fellowship offers ten places and combines hands-on observation, focused discussions, and exposure to innovative technologies used in spine surgery. Funding for the Fellowship is valued up to €5,500 per fellow and subject to EUROSPINE reimbursement policies for self arranged travel and accommodation. All successful applicants are requested to register for the EUROSPINE Annual Meeting, Pre-Day Course and networking events which will be reimbursed from the allocated funding.

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Reputable EUROSPINE Premium or Standard Member
  • Consultants up to a maximum of 10 years experience
  • Working in Europe at the time of application and Fellowship
  • Specialist interest in robotics and navigation in spine surgery
  • Available for participation in the full programme (6-24 October)
Applicants who have completed a EUROSPINE Fellowship in the previous 2 years will not be considered.

Mandatory documentation requirement:
  • Motivation letter in English. Please include details regarding any previous affiliations with EUROSPINE that you have had, for example Education or Research involvement.
  • Recommendation Form in English (download template) (*Please upload the letter and the recommendation form as one Word document or PDF document) signed by a Head of Department or equivalent.

Goals:
  • Equip spine surgeons with advanced skills and knowledge across robotics and navigation.
  • Provide direct exposure to expert-led practices and cutting-edge surgical techniques.
  • Enhance global knowledge-sharing and support innovation in spine.
