Internships - Departments |
Welcome to Our Survey
You are being asked to complete a survey for research purposes. The survey is about horticulture internships. This national project will help us determine barriers that students might have to completing an internship and determine what information students, faculty, administrators and employers need to increase participation in internships. You can expect that the survey will take no more than 5 to 10 minutes.
You must be 18 years of age or older, reside in the United States, and currently be an administrator in a college or university horticulture program.
Completing this survey is voluntary and you can stop at any time by exiting out of the survey webpage. For this study, you will answer two blocks of questions about your perceptions of internships and details about internships available at your place of work.
We suggest that you take this survey using a private device, in a private location, using a web browser set to private/incognito mode. The data collected about you from this survey will be stored in accordance with NC State data protection standards.
You will not receive any payment for completing this survey. There are minimal risks associated with allowing your information to be used as data in this study and there are no direct benefits to you from participating in this research. The survey will not affect your employment and is not connected to your place of work. Please avoid sharing any identifiable information about yourself or others in the open ended responses in the survey.
If you have any questions about the survey, how it is implemented, or the research study, please contact the researcher, John Dole, at jmdole@ncsu.edu or Melinda Knuth, at mjknuth@ncsu.edu. Please reference study number 27396 when contacting anyone about this project.
If you have questions about your rights as a participant or are concerned with your treatment throughout the research process, please contact the NC State University IRB Director at IRB-Director@ncsu.edu, 919-515-8754, or fill out a confidential form online at https://research.ncsu.edu/administration/compliance/research-compliance/irb/irb-forms-and-templates/participant-concern-and-complaint-form/
