Minneapolis Parks: What Matters Most to You?

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is facing difficult budget decisions, and is currently seeking a 5.86% property tax increase from the Board of Estimate and Taxation to keep current service levels.

This funding would not restore cuts from previous years, but it would sustain the current workforce, protect the tree canopy, support hundreds of teen jobs, maintain child care and summer camp programs, continue work to protect natural areas, provide staffing for long-planned new parks in North Minneapolis, and continue to serve the millions of park visitors we welcome each year.
