East-West Gateway Council of Governments Public Involvement Plan Survey 2026

Overview

The East-West Gateway Council of Governments' Public Involvement Plan (PIP) outlines how the agency ensures meaningful public engagement in its transportation planning and affiliated planning. East-West Gateway Council of Governments (EWG) is the St. Louis region's federally designated metropolitan planning organization (MPO). As such, it is the steward of billions of dollars of federal transportation funding for projects and initiatives in a region that encompasses the city of St. Louis, Franklin, Jefferson, St. Charles, and St. Louis counties in Missouri and Madison, Monroe, and St. Clair counties in Illinois. The PIP is required by the federal law and is updated every three years.

Purpose of the Survey

The following survey helps EWG staff prepare the PIP by providing us with data on how well residents and stakeholders across the region understand EWG as an organization, how they prefer to receive information, and how they would like to provide feedback and opinions on EWG projects and initiatives. The information provided by you in this survey will help us plan and initiate strategies to better connect, inform, and listen to residents and stakeholders, ensuring voices from all parts of the community are heard, respected, and incorporated into the work done by EWG.

Your opinions can help us shape effective and meaningful planning that fully incorporates viewpoints from across the region regarding not only transportation, but the future vitality of the St. Louis region.

This survey should take about five minutes to complete. Thank you for your time and help on this important project.
