The Award
Global Game Changers is an education partner of Miss America. Global Game Changers is a project-based Student Empowerment Program that provides teacher-tested, evidence-based FREE curriculum and resources that use service learning and talent development as tools to nurture children’s social, emotional, leadership, and academic growth in-school, afterschool, and at home. Our curriculum is based around our Superpower Equation: MY TALENT + MY HEART = MY SUPERPOWER!® The Global Game Changers Superpower Equation dovetails so well with the values of Miss America, which encourages its contestants to share their talents and to engage with causes that are close to their hearts.
Global Game Changers has established a scholarship for Miss America candidates who wish to enter or have already entered the field of elementary education.
Guidelines for Grant
Global Game Changers Scholarships will be granted if there are qualified applicants, to one woman in the Miss America system who meets the requirements for grant of scholarships.
This scholarship is available to women have competed at the local, state, or national level(s) of the Miss Division of the Miss America Organization over the past year, regardless of whether a title was won.
The Scholarship Committee will review all applications for scholarships and will award one (1) Global Game Changers Scholarship with an award amount of $2,500.00.
Applicants will be considered for the award based upon a combination of factors including, but not limited to, demonstration of the commitment to a career in elementary education, extra-curricular activities, and level of participation within the system.
Any information missing from the submission list will render the application ineligible.

All Applications MUST be typed, or computer-generated for consideration.
Please make sure all of your information is complete before you finalize and submit your application. Incomplete applications will not be accepted under any circumstance.
Scholarship Recipient will be announced on May 18, National Kids Ignite Good!® Day.
Disbursement of funds will follow the Scholarship Rules & Regulations of Miss America's Scholarship Foundation. Consult with your tax preparer and/or attorney to determine if the scholarship is taxable in your specific use case.
