The BVA Advancement of Veterinary Science Award recognises BVA members who have made significant contributions to veterinary science and medicine, with meaningful impact on the veterinary profession and/or animal welfare.

The award is open to BVA members only. Anyone can nominate a candidate, but self-nominations are not accepted.

You'll need to provide the following:
  • a nomination statement outlining and evidencing why your nominee deserves to win (maximum 400 words) including evidence against the award criteria (which you can find here)
  • the nominee's full name, email address and RCVS number (which you can find here)
