October 2026 Proposed Service Changes Survey

Valley Metro service changes are considered to develop an effective regional transit system that supports Valley communities, businesses and residents. Service changes are based on individual community needs, regional perspectives and public feedback. If approved, the changes would go into effect on October 26, 2026.

Phoenix Microtransit (North Zone): Implement microtransit service in north Phoenix, between Union Hills Drive and Happy Valley Road, and from 51st Avenue to 16th Street, to connect with enhanced all-day I-17 RAPID service.

Service will operate daily from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., with a target wait time of 15 to 30 minutes. The fare is $2 per rider, per trip.

Service will operate daily from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., with a target wait time of 15 to 30 minutes. The fare is $2 per rider, per trip.

I17 RAPID: Improve the route to operate in both directions Monday through Friday by adding reverse-commute trips during peak hours and extending service into off-peak periods. The route will operate in both directions from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays. Existing peak-hour frequent service will remain in place to accommodate high-demand travel periods.
