SATWC is conducting a community based research project to better understand the career development and employment needs of young South Asian and Tamil women and gender diverse communities (ages 18 to 30) across the GTA. This research project will examine the career development and advancement needs and barriers faced by young South Asian and Tamil women entering the workforce, and learn how to better support them in their career pursuits while addressing cultural nuances, gender expectations, and exploitative labour practices.

This survey should take approximately 15 minutes to complete, and your participation will be crucial to understanding the key needs and experiences of young South Asian and Tamil women and gender diverse individuals. The first few set of questions are asking you to tell us about yourself - this gives the research team a good understanding of who participated and who may be missing. Then, you get a series of 10 questions that ask you about your experiences with employment and the needs of South Asian and Tamil Women.

To acknowledge your contributions, you will be entered in a raffle to win a $50 gift card.

Your survey responses will be anonymous and confidential. The data from this survey is summarized and themed and at no time, is your data shared individually. Only SATWC’s research team has access to your Survey Monkey data.

If you are interested in participating in the online learning circles, please email us at projects@satwcollective.com to complete a screening questionnaire.
