Power Up Together: ICCS X ION FACE Pre-Conference
Request For Presenters

You are invited to submit a breakout session proposal for Power Up Together, co-hosted by the Idaho Out-of-School Network (ION), the Idaho Coalition for Community Schools (ICCS) and the Idaho Department of Education (IDE). This one-day summit will take place on October 28, 2026 as a pre-conference ahead of the Idaho Department of Education, Family and Community Engagement Conference (FACE), October 29-30 at the Sun Valley Resort in Sun Valley, Idaho.

The theme Power Up Together reflects the power of partnership and collaboration across schools, community organizations, families and youth themselves. While sessions do not need to focus specifically on collaboration, we encourage proposals that highlight the strong practices, innovative strategies and lessons learned that help programs and communities work better together.

Sixty-minute breakout sessions offer a wide array of training for out-of-school providers and community school professionals to improve the practices and outcomes of their work.
Breakouts should:
-Tie into the Idaho Building Blocks for Out-of-School Time Quality. Learn more about the Building Blocks on the ION website.
-Connect to a Community School Key Practice. Learn more here.
-Be clear, interactive and include strategies that participants will be able to implement immediately following the conference.

We welcome proposals from both experienced presenters and practitioners who may be presenting for the first time. If you are doing work others can learn from, we encourage you to share it! This is a great opportunity to connect with approximately 200 colleagues in your industry.

Breakout proposals are due by Monday, June 1st, 2026. All presenters will be notified by Wednesday, June 10th. Please contact the ION Director, Anna Almerico, at aalmerico@jannus.org with questions or concerns. Thank you for your interest. We look forward to reviewing your proposal!

Note: This form is for presenter proposals only. Conference registration details will be released by the Idaho Department of Education (IDE) in early Fall 2026.

For ICCS Rural Expansion Initiative community schools, travel and registration for both the Summit pre-conference and the FACE main conference are covered for up to two community school practitioners per site, funded by United Way of Treasure Valley (UWTV) through the U.S. Department of Education Full-Service Community Schools Program.
