Tyre Stewardship Australia (TSA), in partnership with Burdekin Shire Council and Canegrowers Burdekin, is running a free agricultural tyre amnesty for local cane growers this National Recycling Week.

Current Canegrowers Burdekin members can drop off up to 4 (four) agricultural tyres free of charge at eligible Burdekin waste facilities during the amnesty week, 9–15 November 2026.

The amnesty will take place across 3 (three) waste facilities in the Burdekin shire. Please see the Burdekin Shire website for opening hours:

Kirknie Landfill (1614 Kirknie Rd, Kirknie QLD 4806)
Ayr Transfer Station (Railway Street, Ayr QLD 4807)
Home Hill Transfer Station (80 Bojack Rd, Inkerman QLD 4806)

Your tyres will be collected and recycled locally by Carroll Engineering, a TSA accredited recycler.

To take part, please register your details below. Registration is required in advance, and you'll need to provide your Canegrowers Burdekin membership number, as well as your ID on the day of drop-off.
