2026 Social Workers of New Mexico Survey – Survey Closure Announcement
On behalf of the research team at the Center for Excellence in Social Work at New Mexico Highlands University, thank you to everyone who participated in the 2026 Social Workers of New Mexico Survey. We are deeply grateful for the time, experiences, insights, and wisdom shared by social workers from across our state.
The Social Workers of New Mexico Survey serves as one of the most comprehensive assessments of New Mexico's social work workforce. Findings from previous surveys have informed statewide workforce development initiatives, educational and training investments, supervision and licensure supports, policy discussions, and the development of New Mexico's Strategic Blueprint for Strengthening Social Work and Behavioral Health Career Pathways. Your participation helps ensure that future decisions affecting our profession are grounded in the realities and expertise of those doing the work every day.
The survey is now officially closed, and our team has begun the process of data analysis and report preparation. We look forward to sharing findings with the profession, policymakers, educators, employers, and community partners. A public report summarizing the results will be available no later than July 17, 2026.
Thank you again for your partnership, your dedication to the people and communities of New Mexico, and your commitment to strengthening the social work profession for current and future generations. For questions, please contact Dr. Anna Nelson, Director of the Center for Excellence in Social Work at annelson@nmhu.edu.
