The City of Long Beach is collecting information to develop a Parks, Recreation, and Open Space (PROS) Element for inclusion in the Comprehensive Plan periodic update. The purpose of the PROS Element is to provide guidance on the city’s management and development of park properties for the next 6 – 20 years. This survey, along with community meetings and input from the Parks and Recreation Commission, will gather local knowledge and opinions to be integrated into the PROS Element. The result will be a prioritized list of possible park, trail, and natural area projects. It will also make Long Beach eligible for state grants to help fund these projects.
The city is requesting your input to ensure that the needs of Long Beach's community are met. This survey will help us understand how you currently use Long Beach's park and trail systems and help us plan for the future. Please be sure to enter your name and email address at the end of the survey if you would like to be kept informed on the progress of the PROS Element.
Please complete this survey and make your voice heard! Thank you.
