Union County, the City of Union, and the towns of Jonesville, Lockhart, and Carlisle are preparing a plan to help promote tourism and economic development in the region.

The Tourism Department is exploring how tourism assets such as trails, greenways, destination-quality parks, attractive downtowns, and the creation of multi-use public spaces suitable for major events and festivals can contribute to the local economy. These assets attract visitors and can significantly improve the quality of life for local residents.
