Thank you for taking part in this independent research, carried out by DS Insight for Paddle UK, the governing body for paddlesports in England.

This survey is for people who take part in recreational paddling activities, including stand up paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing, sit-on-top kayaking and inflatable craft.

We want to understand how people get into paddling, where they get information, how they make decisions about safety and what types of advice or messages are most useful.

The survey should take around 15 minutes to complete.

Please answer honestly – we aren’t going to judge your behaviour, as we want to understand what actually happens in real life.

Your answers will be used to help Paddle UK and its partners develop better safety advice and support for new and recreational paddlers.

Your responses will be treated confidentially and reported anonymously.

As a thank you, eligible respondents can choose to receive a code for 10% off Paddle UK membership and/or enter a prize draw to win one of five annual Paddle UK memberships.
