NASW-NY CURRENTS (est. 1956)
Spring/Summer 2026 Issue Submission Form
(Issue Release: June 2026)

The NASW-NY CURRENTS newsletter (est. 1956) is now accepting submissions for the Spring/Summer 2026 issue. As the long-standing publication of the National Association of Social Workers - New York Chapter, CURRENTS continues to elevate the voices, insights, and leadership of social workers across our state.

The theme of this issue aligns with the 2026 annual NASW-NY CE Conference, the first conference as a unified chapter, “One New York, One Voice: Reimagining Social Work for a Just Future.” This theme calls on us to reflect on what it means to move forward together: grounded in solidarity, committed to systems change, and driven by the collective power of community voice.

We invite submissions that engage directly with this theme, including:
  • Original articles
  • Policy or position statements
  • Practice perspectives and field insights
  • Thought pieces on systems change and solidarity
  • Clear calls to action for the profession
Please note that submissions outside of this thematic scope will not be reviewed or considered.

The Spring/Summer 2026 issue will be released at the start of June 2026, and we look forward to featuring bold ideas, innovative practice models, and visionary leadership that help shape a more just future for social work in New York and beyond.
