2025 FamilyU Cohort Fellows Application Thank you for your interest in applying to be a FamilyU Student Parent Fellow!This is a part-time, compensated Fellowship with Generation Hope created to enhance student parent supports at your institution. Generation Hope is a nonprofit organization with a mission to ensure all student parents have the opportunities to succeed and experience economic mobility by engaging education and policy partners to drive systemic change and providing direct support to teen parents in college and their children through holistic, two-generation programming. To date, we have provided more than $1.5 million in tuition assistance, supported more than 500 teen parents in college, celebrated nearly 250 degrees earned through our program, and built relationships with 30+ two and four-year institutions across the country.Our FamilyU Cohort is a comprehensive, customized, evidence-based, two-year capacity-building experience designed to build and refine institutional competencies to improve student parent success. In partnership with institutional staff and student parents, colleges and universities participate in our peer learning convenings and campus-focused independent coaching sessions.The institutions that are participating in the June 2025 - June 2027 FamilyU Cohort are: Harris-Stowe State University University of Houston Clear Lake University of Maryland Global Campus Generation Hope is currently recruiting one Student Parent Fellow to serve as a member on each institution’s team. This Fellow is a valued team member who plays a critical role to ensure all strategies and work include student parent voices.A few reminders before completing the application: The application is available beginning Monday, January 5, 2026 Applications must be submitted on or before Monday, February 23, 2026, by 11:59 pm (your local time zone). Question Title * CONFIRMATION OF ELIGIBILITYTo be eligible for this fellowship, you must: Be a current undergraduate student parent, providing regular care to a child(ren) (ages 13 and under) in your home, while attending college (you do not need to have full custody of the child(ren) to meet this requirement; parenting status can include being a parent or guardian to any biological, adopted, step, or foster children) Currently attending and maintain active undergraduate enrollment at a 2026-27 FamilyU institution (see list above) as a degree-seeking student for the duration of the 2026-2027 academic year Have a GPA of 2.5 or higher OR if you do not meet this GPA criterion, you will plan to submit a written explanation of no more than 250 words detailing the reason(s) for your academic challenges) Be able to devote approximately 40 hours/month to Student Parent Fellow work for the one-year fellowship Be able to participate in the required, in-person Fellows Orientation scheduled on June 10, 2026 in Washington, DC .
