Introduction
Through the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) Inclusion Works Project, Sightsavers has partnered with CIPM since 2019 to champion few innovative approaches to make labour market disability inclusive. Notable among these include HR professionals mentoring job seekers with disabilities and the formation of the Nigeria Business Disability Network (NBDN), which now have 17 private companies as members.
Both at the launching of the NBDN and during the 2021 labour market assessment refresher, the issue of recognizing HR professionals and companies' effort on disability inclusion have been mentioned as a means to sustain and drive the agenda.
To this effect, it is imperative for CIPM to initiate this HR Inclusion Award, through the sponsorship of Sightsavers, who will provide technical support and suggestion to the Professional Development & Learning (PD&L) Committee to consider and adopt towards the setting up and success of the Award. Sightsavers will also financially support the inaugural component of this award.
Technical criteria:
This award is subdivided into two categories: for individual and for organization.
The closing date for the submission of duly completed survey questionnaire by individual and/or corporate applicants is Monday, 27th April 2026.
