The City of Pensacola (City) is assessing a vacant land parcel located across from the Pensacola Bay Center as part of a broader City initiative to boost community engagement and support long‑term economic growth. The project is supported by a public bond, with plans to pursue private investment and grant funding to reduce potential economic impacts on residents.

The City aims to create a vibrant, connected, and revitalized district that enhances safety, stimulates job creation, and strengthens the local economy. Redevelopment may proceed in phases, contributing to a long‑term vision that improves the surrounding area and enables future development opportunities.

Three potential development options are currently under consideration. However, the City welcomes additional community input, which can be provided in the open‑response question near the end of the survey.
  • Option 1- Convention Center – A modern convention center that would host conferences, trade shows and large gatherings, drawing visitors from across the region
  • Option 2- Ice Rink – A new, year-round ice rink offering public skating and programs, as well as the capacity to host teams and regional tournaments
  • Option 3- Indoor Sports Complex – A multi-court indoor sports complex designed for basketball, volleyball and other indoor sports, supporting local leagues and regional tournaments
Your input is vital in shaping a project that reflects community priorities and needs. This survey will help to quantify the community's feedback, and all responses are anonymous. At the conclusion of the survey, you will also be asked a few demographic questions.

Thank you for your participation.
