We are inviting dyslexic young adults aged 18–25 to apply to take part in an in-person event in Parliament.

The event will take place at the Houses of Parliament on 2 September, 3.30–5.30pm and it will be exploring young people’s experiences transitioning from school to education, employment and training – barriers and challenges as well as what helped or made it easier.

Participants will be asked to speak about their lived experience of dyslexia in education, training, or the workplace, helping to inform and shape discussions around inclusion and support.

Please note:

You must be confident in public speaking and comfortable presenting your experiences to an audience
You will be required to prepare and submit your speech in advance of the event
You will also be asked to join a short Microsoft Teams call prior to the event as part of the preparation process
We are particularly keen to hear from a diverse range of young people to ensure a wide variety of voices and experiences are represented.

We are selecting 5-10 participants. If you are successful, we will be in touch.
Travel expenses will be covered

If you are passionate about making a difference for young people with dyslexia, and would like to be considered for this opportunity, we encourage you to complete this form.

Deadline for applications: Thursday 29 July
