The Water Services Authority – Taumata Arowai (the Authority) oversees the management, regulation and performance of urban stormwater networks. Our work in this area has just begun and our tools will be implemented over time.
We are engaging with the sector to design how and when we will use our stormwater tools and functions, and how we can work with other agencies that have a role in stormwater management. We invite you to take part in our survey and share your views with us.
The survey will collect feedback from stakeholders about the challenges and opportunities facing the sector. There are 11 questions and the survey should take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. Participation in the survey is voluntary and closes at 5pm on Friday 11 September 2026.
Our findings will be aggregated and anonymised, with a summary of findings provided to stakeholders after the survey closes. Information about the Authority’s privacy and information sharing policies can be found

We intend to publish a position paper to support this engagement in June 2026.
