Shire of Harvey Council voted at the November 2025 Ordinary Council Meeting to undertake community consultation on whether the Shire of Harvey should seek reclassification from shire status to city status. The question of reclassifying to city status aims to recognise the Shire of Harvey&rsquo;s population growth, urban development, and regional significance. This survey seeks community views on two items:

<li>A name change</li>
