Training Company of the Year Criteria

  • The company must:
  • be registered with an accredited provider of scaffolding, access, or rigging training programmes in New Zealand.
  • demonstrate a strong commitment to the development and advancement of professionals within the scaffolding, access, and rigging industry.
  • have a proven track record of delivering high-quality training programmes that meet or exceed industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • demonstrate innovation in its training programmes and delivery methods, enhancing the learning experience and outcomes for trainees.
  • promote and uphold high safety standards, ensuring trainees are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to work safely in the industry.
  • foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development by providing opportunities for ongoing learning and skills enhancement.
  • demonstrate industry leadership through active participation in industry initiatives, partnerships, advocacy, or other activities that contribute to the sector's growth and development.
  • have a positive industry reputation, supported by testimonials, references, industry recognition, or awards.
  • be in good standing with relevant regulatory and accrediting bodies, with no significant compliance issues or disciplinary actions.
  • If selected as a finalist, the company may need to participate in an online workplace evaluation conducted by the judging panel. The evaluation will take no longer than two hours, and applicants must make themselves available for this process.
  • The company must be willing to participate in promotional activities associated with the award, including interviews, case studies, media opportunities, and industry events.


Judging Process:

  • After the initial entries are evaluated, finalists will be selected.
  • The trainer (or account manager) for the apprentice/trainee may be contacted as a reference to support the application.
