Atlantic Menhaden Draft Addendum II for Public Comment

This is the public comment form for Atlantic Menhaden Draft Addendum II. The draft addendum considers a one-time reduction in the Chesapeake Bay Reduction Fishery Cap (Bay Cap) as well as setting the Bay Cap as a proportion of the coastwide total allowable catch (TAC) so that it changes automatically with future changes to the TAC. Additionally, the draft addendum considers establishing quota periods for the Bay Cap to redistribute reduction fishery landings across the reduction fishery season, rather than concentrating them in the beginning and middle of the season.

Public comments will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, October 9. You may submit comments using this form, or online via the comment box at the Commission Action Tracker Page, or by sending an email to comments@asmfc.org.

This form does not provide the background or detailed explanation of each management option. Please review the full draft addendum document for that information here.

At the end of the form there is an open comment box that you can use to provide explanation or more information on your option choices. You do not have to answer every question.

Please reach out to James Boyle, FMP Coordinator, with any questions at jboyle@asmfc.org.
