The National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel (NPIAP) is currently seeking nominations for the 2027 Board of Directors. Candidates should be experts in pressure injuries or in a field related to pressure injuries. All application materials are due no later than August 24th, 2026, at Noon CT. The available NPIAP Board of Directors positions are:
- President-Elect; 2-year term (followed by automatic ascension to NPIAP President)
- Treasurer; 2-year term
- Secretary; 2-year term
- Director-at-Large (6); five 3-year terms, one 2-year term

Current Board Members Applying for Officer Positions
Current Board members who apply for officer positions should be aware of how their existing role and term status impact continued service:
- Board members who are mid-term in their current role (i.e., not up for reelection during the current cycle) may apply for an officer position without risk to their current term. If they are not selected for the officer role, they will continue and complete their existing term as originally approved.
- Board members whose current term is concluding at the end of the year, and who are eligible for reelection, must apply for all positions they wish to be considered for. Selection for a subsequent term is not automatic. If a candidate up for reelection applies only for an officer/President-Elect role and is not selected, they will not be considered for reelection to their current or prior role unless they also submitted an application for that position.
