TTU Homecoming Parade 2026: Community Application

This year's TTU Homecoming Parade will be on Friday, October 16, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. The time of the Parade is subject to change. In the event of any parade changes, all participants will be notified via email as soon as possible.

Mandatory Meeting
A mandatory meeting for all TTU organizations and local businesses will be held Monday, September 28, 2026, at 6:00PM in the Escondido Theater, located in the Student Union Building West Basement (under the Campus Bookstore). One representative from each organization or business MUST be present; if a representative is not, the organization/business will be disqualified from participation. Check in time will be at 5:30pm. The presentation will begin at 6:00.

ALL HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT WAIVERS MUST BE TURNED IN AT THE MANDATORY MEETING.

Requirements
In order to participate, you must be a current Texas Tech Registered Student Organization or a local business. If you are partnering with another organization, each organization MUST complete and turn in an application online. All organizations and businesses must complete an application, which includes a brief description and sketch of their float.
All TTU organizations and local business participants must abide by the rules and regulations set forth in the 2026 Homecoming Handbook. The Homecoming Handbook can be found at homecoming.ttu.edu starting on August 24, 2026.

Any organization or business who will be participating in the parade MUST have at least one person (representative) from the group stay behind and help clean up. If a group does not have a representative stay behind and clean, their float will be disqualified from the judging competition.

13.Organization Description: Please provide a description of your organization. This will be announced by our Parade announcer to the judges as you pass the judges table. Include your organization name as well as your float theme and a short description of your organization's responsibilities on or off campus in the Texas Tech or Lubbock community. The TTU Student Union & Activities department reserves the right to edit or shorten descriptions based on the needs of the parade.(Required.)

15.Terms & Conditions: We have read and fully understand the Rules and Regulations of the 2026 Texas Tech Homecoming Parade. By signing this, we understand that we must comply by all rules explained in the Rules and Regulations section of this application and any that are understood to be enforced by Texas Tech University. If we are found in non-compliance with these rules, we understand that we will be disqualified from participating in the 2026 Texas Tech Homecoming Parade. We understand that one (1) official representative must attend the Mandatory Safety and General Information Meeting on Monday, September 28, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Student Union Building Escondido Theater. If we do not attend, our participation in the parade will be re-evaluated. We understand that one (1) official representative must stay after the parade is over to help with the general clean-up. If we do not clean up, our float will be disqualified. We understand that the driver of our float must have the correct class driver’s license and personal insurance.
