On Friday, May 15th 2026, we are holding our sixth Monroe County Mental Health Champions Annual Fundraising Gala at the Hilton Garden Inn. At this event, we will be recognizing members of our community who exemplify our mission by providing outstanding service and advocacy for those dealing with mental health issues.

We invite you to submit your nominations and to share this link with others.

Nominations will close on March 20th, 2026.

Nominations can be made for the following categories:

Outstanding Mental Health Provider - Nominees in this category serve as mental health providers in Monroe County and have made exceptional contributions to the area of mental health through treatment of mental health issues, advocacy, raising awareness of mental health issues, and/or otherwise furthering the cause of mental health awareness for individuals and the community.

Outstanding Youth Mental Health Advocate – Nominees in this category serve as mental health advocates for youth in Monroe County who have made exceptional contributions to the area of mental health through identifying at-risk populations and understanding the unique social-emotional health challenges youth face, while providing and/or advocating for mental health support and safe spaces for youth in Monroe County.

Outstanding Educator - Nominees in this category serve as educators in Monroe County (including school educators, community educators, health educators, and other educators) and have made exceptional contributions to the area of mental health through awareness of mental health issues, offering support, providing guidance, and/or otherwise furthering the cause of mental health awareness for students and colleagues.

Outstanding First Responder - Nominees in this category serve as First Responders in Monroe County and have made exceptional contributions to the area of mental health through awareness of mental health issues, being on the frontlines to assist individuals and families experiencing mental health issues, and being an active part of decreasing stigma related to mental health.

Outstanding Volunteer - Nominees in this category serve as volunteers in Monroe County and have made exceptional contributions to the area of mental health through giving dedicated time, energy, and effort to decrease stigma and increase access to mental health treatment.

Outstanding Social Services Agency - These nominees are Monroe County social service agencies that have made exceptional contributions to the area of mental health through understanding the importance of mental health care, working to increase access to mental health care, decreasing barriers preventing access to care, and engaging in community outreach to support mental health care knowledge in Monroe County.
