Thank you for your interest in being a Mentor for Cohort 20 of the CTOM program! Please review program information on the CITE website to ensure you understand Mentor expectations and program dates (you will be required to attend the Kickoff class in-person in Rancho Cucamonga, CA on Feb 6, 2026 from 8am - 4pm).

A successful mentor for the CTOM Program should have the following qualifications:
  • Currently hold a position as a leader in K-12 technology (at least 10 years of experience is preferred)
  • Have hands-on experience with K-12 technology
  • Hold a degree in business related field or a CTOM Program certification, or have demonstrated work experience
Mentors will be expected to:
  • Enter into a contractual arrangement with CITE to perform the duties of a mentor which includes ~10 hours of your time per month
  • Meet regularly with your Candidate to review progress, assignments, and artifacts
  • Provide in-depth written and verbal feedback to the Candidate on their writing and presentation skills
  • Provide bi-monthly feedback, in writing, to the Program Manager about the Candidate’s progress (new requirement)
  • Consult with Instructors as needed to help the Candidate resolve questions
  • Attend monthly mentor meetings on Zoom or watch recording if unable to attend
  • Prepare for and attend mid-year evaluation meeting with the Candidate and Program Manager, and follow up with the Candidate on any area(s) needing improvement
  • Attend the Program Kickoff session in Rancho Cucamonga, CA from 8am - 4pm on Friday, February 6, 2026. CITE will pay for travel and lodging.
All applicants will be informed if they were matched to a mentee in mid-October once candidates are selected.
