Introduction
The Australian Institute of Health & Safety is seeking input from workplace health and safety professionals and others involved in managing work-related risk to better understand how racism is currently recognised and managed in Australian workplaces.
There is growing recognition that racism can affect psychological health, participation at work, organisational trust and workforce outcomes. Safe Work Australia identifies racism as a source of both psychological and physical harm and notes that organisations must take reasonable steps to eliminate or minimise the risk of racism occurring at work.
This survey is part of a broader program of work exploring whether racism should be more clearly recognised and addressed as a workplace health and safety issue, including as a psychosocial hazard requiring preventative approaches.
Your responses will help inform future guidance, professional discussion and potential advocacy priorities.
Participation in this survey is completely voluntary and anonymous. No identifying information will be collected, and responses will be reported only in aggregated form.
The survey should take approximately 5–7 minutes to complete.
