Winter Cycling Congress 2024: Call for Presenters The Edmonton Winter Cycling Congress Planning Committee invites you to submit a proposal to present at the 2024 Congress. As this conference will explore the constructs of a Healthy City, we are seeking presentations that will: provide research, policy, and practice examples that showcase the health promoting potential of cities for all people; bring forward ideas to catalyze action to build healthier, sustainable, and more equitable cities (topic areas can include but are not limited to physical, mental, and social health, climate resiliency, equity, accessibility, capacity building, knowledge translation); Showcase cycling within the winter months and its contributions to transportation, wellbeing, community, and the environment. highlight novel strategies that leverage the year-round health promoting potential of urban settings to improve health and health equity; give delegates practical, useful knowledge and skills that they can use; connect with delegates from a number of sectors: Health, Transportation, Tourism, Recreation/Active Living, Environment, Municipal Operations, Sustainability, etc. The Edmonton Winter Cycling Congress Planning Committee is committed to equity in each planning stage of the 2024 Winter Cycling Congress while supporting diversity; the WCC Planning Committee encourages participation by everyone, peoples of all backgrounds and abilities.All applications to present must be submitted online by October 15, 2023. Please note: All presenters and co-presenters are asked to register for the 2024 Winter Cycling Congress, but please do not register until your session application has been approved. Successful presenters will receive 15% off main conference registration (maximum 2 per presentation). The early bird rate of 15% off will be honoured if you are notified of your session status after the early bird deadline. Sessions will be confirmed 2-3 weeks after approval. Next
