Institute Overview
Join teachers from across the country and engage with ideologically diverse scholars during an in-person weeklong institute on the Legacy of the Declaration of Independence with the National Constitution Center from Sunday, June 14, 2026 – Friday, June 19, 2026.
Institutes are open to educators working with grades 5–12 at public, charter, independent, parochial, and other schools. Successful applicants are those who thoughtfully consider the parameters for all components of the application, including the short answer questions. Answers should be thorough, provide insight into the applicant as an educator and learner, and comprised of original ideas in the applicant’s own words.
Applications are due no later than Friday, January 23, 2026. Notification regarding application status will be sent by Friday, February 20, 2026.
