Mathis Ferry Trail

The Mathis Ferry Trail is a proposed 10ft-12ft wide multiuse path project that is proposed to run along Mathis Ferry Rd from the intersection of 5th Ave to the Eagle St unsignalized crossing. The path is proposed on the north side of Mathis Ferry Rd and will utilize existing right-of-way as much as feasibly possible. Future expansion of this path along Mathis Ferry Rd is proposed and will begin as funding becomes available. This path is part of the larger Town-wide Mount Pleasant Way Project (https://www.tompsc.com/1347/Mount-Pleasant-Way) providing opportunity for recreation and alternative transportation modes like biking and walking. This project will connect with the previously approved Scanlonville Praise House project (https://www.tompsc.com/1365/Scanlonville-Praise-House-Trail) which is currently under design. This will extend continuous multiuse facilities from the Mount Pleasant Waterfront Memorial Park to Eagle St.
