New Faculty Scholarly Works in Progress Workshop Interest Form |
Introduction
This workshop gives new law faculty a dedicated space to share and develop their scholarly work before a supportive audience. Each session will feature a new faculty presenter drawn from the cohort of New Law Teachers Workshop attendees, ensuring a community of peers who share a common experience and investment in one another’s growth.
Each presenter will receive feedback from a senior scholar outside their institution with subject matter expertise in the relevant field, as well as questions and commentary from fellow attendees. We hope to foster a collegial environment designed to strengthen both the research itself and the presenter’s skills in discussing and defending their work.
Presentation slots will be available from September 2026 through April 2027. Participation is by invitation only and limited to the New Law Teachers Workshop cohort members and their designated senior commenters. Cohort members interested in presenting may sign up for a slot when registration opens.
This form is meant to gauge interest; workshops will be scheduled with selected participants in advance. Please contact Katherine London (klondon@aals.org) or Alena Allen (aallen@aals.org) with any questions.
