SHRM Oklahoma Emerging Leader Award

The SHRM Oklahoma Emerging Leader Award recognizes an HR professional early in their career who has already demonstrated leadership and meaningful contributions to the HR profession. Nominees must be a SHRM member in good standing, an active member of a local Oklahoma SHRM chapter, and have five years or less of experience in the HR field. Candidates should show strong potential for continued service and leadership within the profession. HR certification through HRCI or SHRM is preferred, and previous recipients are not eligible.


  • The nominee must be a member in good standing of SHRM and a current member of a local Oklahoma Chapter
  • The nominee must have 5 years or less experience in the HR Field
  • The nominee must have shown leadership in a significant contribution to SHRM Oklahoma and/or the HR profession
  • The nominee must have shown outstanding promise for continuing service and leadership
  • Prefer a Certified HR Professional from HRCI or SHRM.
  • The nominee must not have previously received an Emerging Leader Award
