The Early Childhood Investment Corporation (ECIC), in collaboration with the Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential and the Office of Early Childhood Education (MiLEAP), have launched a new professional certificate that current or interested infant and toddler teachers can earn. This certificate is intended to be a focused learning on supporting infants and toddlers, advancing your career in early childhood education, and to help you feel valued as a teacher. This certificate is best suited for people who are new to the field of early childhood, new to working with infants and toddlers, or those that have not received formal education in working with infants and toddlers.

If you are interested in participating in the Infant and Toddler Caregiver Certificate Cohort (MI-ITCC), please submit this interest form. The MI-ITCC team will reach out to confirm your eligibility and selection for an upcoming cohort as space is limited. Upcoming cohorts begin in: February 2026 and August 2026.

After completing the certificate cohort program, participants will be eligible to receive a stipend of up to $1,000 from the Early Childhood Investment Corporation (ECIC).
