Digital Content Creators Skills Survey

The BBC and ScreenSkills have partnered with international screen sector strategy consultancy Olsberg•SPI, to conduct a skills study of the UK’s Digital Content Creator (DCC) sector.

This short online survey explores:
  • The skills needed to succeed in the Digital Content Creator sector, both now and in the future
  • How these skills overlap with the skills needed to work in film and television
  • The effectiveness of existing training for Digital Content Creators
  • What career progression looks like for Digital Content Creators
  • The challenges faced by Digital Content Creators in growing their careers

Your confidential response will provide valuable data to inform future interventions and actions that ScreenSkills, the BBC and other industry stakeholders can take to support the skills and career development of Digital Content Creators.

The survey should take no longer than 15 minutes.

Please complete the survey by 26th February 2026, and feel free to share it with other Digital Content Creators within your network.
