Since 2013, the Charles & Melita Jung Foundation (Jung Foundation) has sponsored public interest scholarships to the NAPABA Convention.  In 2016 the Jung Foundation partnered with the NAPABA Law Foundation to offer this program. This year three public interest attorney scholarships to the 2017 Convention in Washington, DC will be made available.  The scholarships are intended to encourage and make it easier for public interest attorneys to participate in NAPABA. 

The award consists of the following: (1) Flight: Reimbursement for up to $500 for any economy round-trip airfare or other transportation; (2) Registration Fee: NLF will provide the recipient a conference registration code that waives the cost of registration;  and (3) Hotel: for one of the three recipients reimbursement for a 3-night stay at the Marriott Marquis Washington, DC.

Preference will be given to those who also apply for a NAPABA Convention Scholarship and reimbursements will be net of any other scholarships received.  All U.S.-based public interest attorneys are invited to apply.  The application deadline is September 15, 2017 (but the scholarships will be considered on a rolling basis beginning August 21, 2017, so the earlier the better.)
