Houston Money Week (HMW) is a nonprofit organization that ensures access to free financial literacy to empower families and individuals through financial education. By volunteering to become a partner with HMW, you agree to the following:

• I will not advertise, promote, or attempt to sell ANY products or services during HMW events for which I (individual or organization) could receive any form of compensation.
• I will provide approved financial education, tools and resources in an unbiased manner during any HMW event(s) that I conduct. Educational materials must be from the current HMW approved curriculum list or
approved by the Leadership Team.
• All items, including but not limited to, materials, promotional items, training and refreshments, etc., will be FREE during all HMW events to all participants and volunteers.
• I will not charge any fees to the event attendees, volunteers, and presenters associated with any portion of a HMW event or activity.
• I will use HMW's approved logo on all flyers, postcards and other materials in support of HMW events.
• I will gain proper authorization to allow HMW the use of my company or organization’s logo and information in HMW marketing materials, social media, and on HMW's website.
• I will provide HMW information regarding my HMW events/activities. This includes posting events and activities to the online calendar via the website.
  • I agree to complete a quarterly event evaluation provided by Houston Money Week leadership for free financial wellness events led by my organization. Timely completion of required quarterly evaluations is necessary to fulfill this partner agreement and remain eligible for Golden Membership for the following year.
  • I understand that an individual post-event survey is required per event for any event that Houston Money Week directly coordinates, hosts, or substantially supports through planning, resource contribution, or event facilitation.
  • I will complete a quarterly Event Evaluation provided by Houston Money Week Leadership for free financial wellness events led by my organization to fulfill my partner requirements
  • I will complete an individual post-event survey per event for any event that Houston Money Week directly coordinates, hosts, or substantially supports through planning, resource contribution, or event facilitation. I will promptly complete the evaluation and submit it within 72 hours of the event's conclusion. If the event is a collaboration, then the collaborative partners and I will complete one evaluation form.
  • I understand that any event reported through an individual post-event survey should also be included in my organization’s quarterly evaluation survey so Houston Money Week can accurately count qualifying events toward membership recognition and partner agreement requirements.
  • I understand that only events reported through the required Houston Money Week reporting channels, including per event post-event surveys and quarterly evaluation surveys when applicable, will be considered toward meeting partner agreement requirements and Golden Membership eligibility.

* 15. Waiver of Liability
1.1 Assumption of Risk
I, [Participant Name] (hereinafter “Participant”), acknowledge that participation in the activities, programs, workshops, and events organized by Houston Money Week and its affiliates, sponsors, and partners (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Event Organizers”) involves inherent risks. These risks include, but are not limited to, physical injuries, transportation accidents, emotional distress, property damage, food-related allergies or reactions, and other potential hazards. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation, whether known or unknown, foreseeable or unforeseeable, and regardless of whether they arise from the negligence of the Event Organizers or otherwise.

1.2 Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of the State of Texas, I hereby waive, release, and discharge Event Organizers, including their officers, directors, employees, volunteers, agents, sponsors, and affiliated organizations, from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action of any kind arising out of or related to my participation in the event. This includes but is not limited to personal injury, illness, property damage, or death, whether caused by negligence, gross negligence, or otherwise.

1.3 Indemnification
I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Event Organizers from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising from my actions or omissions in connection with the event, including actions caused by my own negligence or intentional misconduct.

1.4 Medical and Emergency Authorization
In the event of a medical emergency, I authorize Event Organizers to take all reasonable actions necessary to ensure my health and safety, including contacting emergency medical services or providing transportation to a medical facility. I agree to be fully responsible for any costs incurred as a result of medical treatment or related expenses.

2.1 Grant of Rights
I grant Event Organizers and their representatives, agents, and media partners the irrevocable and unrestricted right to use photographs, video recordings, and audio recordings of me taken during event activities for promotional, educational, advertising, or informational purposes. This includes, but is not limited to, use in print, digital media, social media platforms, brochures, and websites, without compensation or the need for additional consent.

2.2 Waiver of Rights
I waive any rights to inspect, approve, or claim royalties for any use of photographs, videos, or other media containing my likeness or voice.

2.3 Opt-Out Provision
If I choose to opt-out of this media release, I will submit a signed written request to ben@houstonmoneyweek.org
