Thank you for your interest in taking part in our research!

IGLYO – the International LGBTQI Youth & Student Organisation – is conducting a new research project to explore the experiences of LGBTQI young people (aged 18–30) in school and community-based sports across the Council of Europe.

Specifically, we aim to:

Understand the needs, barriers and types of discrimination faced by LGBTQI youth in school and community-based sports;
Identify best practices that can help foster more inclusive, safe and affirming sports environments.

To support this work, we are conducting one-on-one online interviews with LGBTQI young people who have experience in school- or community-based sports.

This survey is your opportunity to express interest in taking part. By answering a few short questions, you will help us identify participants for the interviews.

If you are selected, here is what to expect:

A 45–60 minute online interview in English or French, scheduled between mid-June and early July 2025;
Detailed information about the study, your rights and how your data will be protected before the interview;
A financial compensation of 60€ for your time and contributions.
