Alameda CARP Update Community Survey |
The City of Alameda is preparing a mid-term update to the Climate Action and Resiliency Plan (CARP). The CARP seeks to reduce citywide greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to the impacts of climate change and covers topics, such as land use and housing, transportation, building energy use, waste management, and climate adaptation. The update will reevaluate community greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, revise the CARP vision, goals, and strategies, and develop detailed action plans for priority strategies.
In addition to updating the CARP, the City is developing a revised plan specific to reducing waste and promoting sustainability, the Zero Waste Implementation Plan (ZWIP). The ZWIP will include both new and revised policies and actions the City can take to increase reuse, recycling, and composting, and ultimately achieve zero waste.
This survey is designed to gather information about community members’ opinions about the CARP vision for climate action and zero waste. Your answers are anonymous, and you can also skip any questions. There are no right or wrong answers – we want to know about your perspectives and experiences.
