QCOSS COMMUNITY SECTOR SURVEY (2026)

ABOUT THE SURVEY

What is the survey about? The Queensland Council of Social Service (QCOSS) is conducting this survey to capture information on the social and economic impact and challenges experienced by the community service sector. All staff and volunteers in community sector organisations in Queensland are invited to participate.

What questions are asked?  Questions are about the work you do, such as levels of need in the community, as well as your views on the positive impact community services have in your local community and what would strengthen the sector.

What does participating involve?
- Taking part involves answering the survey questions online.
- The survey usually takes around 30 minutes to complete, but it may take a little longer for CEOs, senior managers, team leaders and co-ordinators of a service or program, who are asked some extra questions.
Participation in this survey is voluntary. If you do not want to take part, you do not have to. If you provide your permission, your survey data will be stored in Survey Monkey, in accordance with their privacy notice.

When does the survey close? The survey will close on Monday 1 June 2026.

What happens to information I provide?  QCOSS uses Community Sector Survey responses in multiple ways. Survey responses may be used to:
- Inform reports, including QCOSS’ annual State of the Sector report.
- Understand social and economic impact and challenges the community sector is experiencing, informing our policy and advocacy work, submissions on legislation, the state budget and other consultation processes.
- Help us identify priorities for sector development training and resources, workforce planning, and research activities, which may include sharing aggregated results with QCOSS partner organisations.

What if I need further information or support? You can contact QCOSS by emailing the QCOSS Research and Policy team on research@qcoss.org.au or phoning 07 3004 6900.
